As a birthkeeper I will work with you to plan for a birth experience where you feel safe and supported to birth your baby on your terms. I will hold space for you to find the fullness of your power, to trust, connect and listen to your body so to give birth in a way that makes you feel seen, heard, safe, respected and powerful.

As a birthkeeper my focus is on building a relationship with you it's a energetic exchange....it's sounds hippy but I'm a older woman that through experience believes in the power of women and their ability to birth and the sacredness of the birthspace. Birth is a pivotal event in a womans life everything shifts, as your doula I'm there with you and 100% I believe in you and your capacity to birth your baby on your terms.

Prenatal

Two prenatal sessions where we meet and chat about your hopes, dreams and fears we will talk about how you envision your birth. I will guide you and your partner so that you feel informed, empowered and prepared. We will talk about how you see me and the role that I play in your birthing journey. These get togethers generally take 2-3+ hours there is always lots to discuss.

A visit to your home to talk about setting up your birth space and the role of birth support partners.

I birthing at home will prepare for unexpected outcomes, talk about hospital transfer and navigating the system. What constitutes informed consent and your rights in hospital.

Provide evidenced based information so you can understand every choice you can make so you ever look back with regrets.

If required I will accompany you to antenatal appointments.

We will talk about how to set up your village and meal train for support in your post partum period.

I am also available on the telephone to any answer questions you may have. (your always welcome to come over to my home and have a cup of tea and chat)

Birth

I will be on call for your birth from 37 weeks and contactable 24/7 once you feel that labour is commencing.

Access to a full kit of labour tools so you can comfortably labour at home feeling fully supported. (birth ball, peanut, yoga bolster and all the little extras I bring in my basket to make sure you are feeling loved & nourished)

I will come to your home to support you in labour when you feel it the right time for you to invite me into your space.

I will walk beside you and you partner during your birth experience providing emotional & physical support. I believe in you...I am all in for what ever you need whilst you birth whether thats sitting in the corner of the room holding space or squeezing those hips, you determine what you need from me in the moment. I'm invested in you.

If you are birthing at home In the advent of transfer to hospital I will accompany you providing advocacy and ensuring your wishes for your self and your baby are heard and respected.

I wont leave your side until you have a baby in your arms whether your birth takes 2hrs or 24 hrs (or like a recent birth that was 44 hours)

Professional photographic images of your labour and birth through to your golden hour.

Postnatal Debrief

1 x Two hour postnatal birth debrief session where we can unpack how and what happened. (We can also drink cups of tea and gush over your beautiful babe)

We can discuss any concerns or questions you might have and offer support and referrals if you may require them.

I will bring a warm nourishing snack for you and your family so that you can relax and focus on your baby’s needs

If you are interested in knowing more the next step we have a catch up over the phone or in-person. This depends largely on what you’re comfortable with and what questions you have. Birth is incredibly intimate, so I want to make sure that we are the right fit for each other.

If you like we can then organise a time to meet in person. These meetings can last anywhere from 30 minutes up to 2 hours depending on what we talk about I encourage you to ask me all your questions and I want to know all about you. I only take on 3 births a month so I don't risk missing your birth.

Once you’re ready to book, I will email you a link to your online portal where you can complete a short questionnaire, review and sign your contract.

I know hiring a professional birth photographer can be a significant financial investment. This is why you can make payments weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, bi-monthly. You know what works for your finances and your family.

All that's required is a 50% deposit to hold your birth spot with the remainder spread out over your pregnancy .
